Skip Mungo, Temperature Equipment Corporation (TEC), Lansing, IL
Skip’s HVAC career began in 1970, working part time through his high school and college years in the warehouse, parts and order groups at Temperature Equipment Corporation (TEC). At age 23, two years from graduating from the University of Arizona, Skip joined TEC as an outside Territory Manager (TM) calling on Mechanical Contractors, Engineers and Residential Dealers. After a most successful career at a TM, Skip was promoted to Vice President/General Sales Manager in 1991 and President of TEC (2000). As President & CEO (2006), TEC and its Associated Companies of National Excelsior Company and Harry Alter have grown to operate in seven states with thirty-two locations, five hundred employees and revenues in excess of three hundred million. Skip is active in fundraising for ALS and Leukemia. Skip is the proud father of two children and four grandsons.
